About us
The J Bar J ranch is located just outside Hedley, Texas or about one hour East of Amarillo. The
J Bar J Ranch offers some of the best whitetail and exotic hunts available in Texas. We offer wonderful lodging and provide three meals a day. We promise you won't go home hungry!
The J Bar J Ranch can accomodate bow hunters.
The Wright Families
The Wright families have owned the J Bar J Ranch for over two decades. They have a great love for the outdoors, wildlife, and the sport of hunting and fishing. Steve is a Life Time Member of SCI and The Texas Deer Association. The family has been actively involved in preserving and improving our wildlife at the J Bar J. The Wright’s personal hunting experiences have taken them as far as Tanzania, Argentina, Alaska, as well the Rockies where the Wrights once lived in Wyoming.
Matt Hicks
Matt Hicks is a fourth generation Amarillo man and has a deep abounding love for the outdoors and hunting. Matt is an accomplished hunter whether it is bow, rifle, or other means. Matt Hick has been guiding for the J Bar J Ranch for over fifteen years. He loves to share his love of the outdoors and the J Bar J with all of our guests.
